When students ask and answer questions that prioritize their thinking rather than the right answer, their learning and understanding become deepened.
Ever since I have been in school, I was always fascinated by the impact that teachers have on their students, the care and love they convey, and the devotion they have for their work . One person who inspired me the most to go into education was my mother. Her dedication, perseverance, and unconditional love ignited my passion to serve others and make a difference.
Throughout my teaching years, I always strive to promote a positive learning environment that supports and facilitates both academic and social-emotional learning. Setting high expectations, stimulating students’ interests, and making real-life connections are some of the strategies that I use to cultivate students’ knowledge. My ultimate goal is to develop students’ enthusiasm for learning and therefore become lifelong learners.
Gilbert K. Chesterton stated, “Education is simply the soul of a society as it passes from one generation to another.” I am immensely grateful to be part of the NIA team for more than ten years and be able to join this education chain. Accomplishing NIA’s mission of educating the whole child and transforming our young scholars into future leaders who can positively impact our world is my mission.
