Seniors must complete the NIA Senior Data Sheet when they need a recommendation letter from the counselor or a teacher. The information you provide will allow teachers to write a personalized, effective letter of recommendation for you.

Tennessee Scholarships

The state of Tennessee believes in fostering the educational success of every student no matter what their future plans are. TN state offers the following financial aid scholarships to help you pay for college or career school.

Tennessee Promise Scholarship: Seniors may apply for the Tennessee Promise scholarship, which will provide two years of tuition-free attendance at a community or technical college in Tennessee.

Tennessee HOPE Scholarship: The Tennessee HOPE Scholarship Program provides scholarship and grant assistance to Tennesseans attending eligible Tennessee post-secondary institutions. Review the requirements for the HOPE Scholarship and apply online.

Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation: The Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation (TSAC) administers over 20 different state student financial aid programs, including the HOPE scholarship, Tennessee Promise, Tennessee Reconnect, Tennessee Student Assistance Award, and the Dual Enrollment grant.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is a form that must be prepared annually by current and prospective college students (undergraduate and graduate) in the United States to determine their eligibility for student financial aid. The FAFSA opens October 1st and should be completed as soon as possible. Aid is distributed based on financial need and on a first come, first served basis.
